There was one winning ticket sold for the $12.2 million Washington Lotto jackpot, the highest for that game in state history, in Brier.

Brier is a city in Snohomish County, bordered by Mountlake Terrace to the west, Lynnwood to the north, Bothell to the east, and Lake Forest Park to the south.

As of the 2010 census, there are barely 6,000 people who live there.

Cue up the clever Washington's Lottery Department of Imagination commercials, can't wait to see what y'all are going to do having fun with this winner.

Someone might be about to buy and clear out the entire Brier briar patch.

According to the walottery.com website, no one has come forward yet to claim the prize.

The drawing was held Wednesday night, July 3rd. The ticket must be turned in by the penultimate day of the year, December 30, 2019, to claim the prize payout using either a lump sum or installments. Somehow, I get the feeling that turning in the ticket and pocketing all that cashola by the end of the year will not be an issue.

The numbers that paid off with $12.2 million were: 5, 12, 13, 27, 34, 49.
