The Pasco man who shot at police officers in order to try to commit "suicide by cop" is being held on bail for $2.5 million.

He fired 7 times on the Pasco officers, who returned 21 shots. The man lived and is now in Washington State Penitentiary, where he is being treated. Once he is medically cleared, he'll be booked into Franklin County. He was trying to die so he wouldn't have to go to jail. He's a convicted felon, and among several charges he has against him - 3 charges of first-degree attempted murder.

The three officers who fired their guns are on paid administrative leave. None of the officers were hit, but a bullet passed through one officer's pant leg.
