A Kennewick mother has been charged with failure to supervise a child, when her child was found wandering at the intersection of 7th and Highway 395!

Thursday afternoon, drivers spotted the child, a little girl wearing only a shirt, wandering at the intersection dangerously close to the highway.

Several citizens stopped and stayed with the child until police arrived. The mother, Cheryl Hensley, was eventually located, and was arrested on the supervision charges.

Police did not say how the child made it to the intersection, or if she lived close by.
