2011 Kennewick Shooting Suspect Arrested in Texas – Now in Custody in WA

Kennewick police still don't know the circumstances of the arrest, but a wanted shooting suspect is back in Benton County after being arrested in Texas.

24-year-old Victor Paniagua was wanted for allegedly shooting two men during an argument in Benton County.  The two men, Edgar Torres and Ernesto Lopez, suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.

After issuing an arrest warrant on assault charges, Kennewick police believed Paniagua had left the area.

Then June 4th, police in Maverick County, Texas reported they had arrested him, but the nature of the charges were not divulged.  June 17th Paniagua was extradited back to the area, and is now in the Benton County jail.
