Oregon State Patrol officers continue the investigation into the unlawful abduction of four children.

Around 3pm Wednesday, a woman notified the State Patrol office in The Dalles that her children had failed to show up for school that day.  The four children, ages 4-9, had been staying with their uncle for a few days, and the mother said they were supposed to be dropped off at school by him.

61-year-old Donald C. Clark of The Dalles was located near Goldendale by authorities who pinged his cellphone.  Oregon officials then contacted Goldendale police, and Clark was apprehended around 5pm. He had the children in his car with him, and had left The Dalles area.

Clark has been jailed on Custodial Interference, and the children were returned to their mother.  They were unharmed.  Why Clark failed to take the children to school or return them as planned to their mother is not yet known.
