AAA Says Gas Prices down 8 Cents in Last Month

BELLEVUE, Wash. (AP) — The AAA auto club reports the average price of a gallon of gasoline in Washington is $3.73. That's down a penny in a week and 8 cents in a month. It's 14 cents higher than the national average. Some metro prices -- Bellingham $3.86, Bremerton $3.75, Seattle-Bellevue-Everett $3.78, Tacoma $3.73, Olympia $3.76, Vancouver $3.71, Yakima $3.62, Tri-Cities $3.61, Spokane $3.50.

Police Continue to Investigate Fatal Shooting in Walla Walla

WALLA WALLA, Wash. (AP) — Police say an Anacortes man was shot to death after a night of drinking with an acquaintance in Walla Walla. Police say 35-year-old Joshua S. White was asked to leave the residence after a confrontation. But he returned a short time later yesterday morning, forced open the back door and was shot by the resident. The resident cooperated with investigators and was not arrested.

Oregon Gas Prices Drops 11 Cents in Last Month

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The AAA auto club reports the average price of a gallon of gasoline in Oregon is $3.69. That's down 2 cents in a week and 11 cents in a month. Some metro prices -- Portland $3.67, Salem $3.67, Eugene-Springfield $3.71, Medford-Ashland $3.73.
