This morning, in the wake of the horrific shootings at the Batman premiere last night in Aurora, CO,  ABC Morning News was already speculating the shooter, 24-year-old Jim Holmes, was a member of the Colorado TEA Party. George Stephanopoulos and Brian Ross discussed how "a Jim Holmes of Aurora" had joined last year. Ross admitted, "We don't know" if it's the same Jim Holmes. But, he said, "It's Jim Holmes of Aurora, CO."

Imagine that. ABC admits they do not know conclusively if it's the same person, but they throw it out there.

Does TEA Party membership automatically predispose a person to garb themselves in black, bring three guns to a movie theater and kill multiple people? Hmmm.

Blogger Gary DeMar posting on the Political Outcast website, makes some terrific points:

"You might remember that after the shooting of Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, the Left went into full blame mode by claiming that it was Tea Party rhetoric that led to a lone gunman to shoot Giffords and others. Giffords’s father was more direct. When he was asked if she had any enemies, he said: 'Yeah, the whole Tea Party.' Once again the insane media have tried to make a Tea Party connection."

THE focus right now needs to be on the families of the dead and injured people. Adding to the tragedy are the fact that infants and children were included in the casualties -- making it even more heart wrenching. The last thing ANYONE needs to do is make this a political issue. It is going to be hard enough for people all over America to fathom and understand this sick, twisted act. It needs to stop NOW.
