Age of Drunk Driver Who Slammed Through Fence and Rolled Will Shock You!

Early Thursday morning, Kennewick police were called to the scene of an accident that could have been a lot more tragic. But the age of the driver was surprising.

Angel Maldonado was headed East on 10th near Edison Street when he abruptly drove off the road, through a fence, and rolled his vehicle.

Amazingly, he and his passenger, who's identity was not released, only suffered minor injuries. But that often happens when the driver is drunk. Experts say often the person is so inebriated they're 'relaxed' and often escape serious injury.

Maldonado, however is only 18-years old. He's now in the Benton County Jail on DUI charges. We're hoping he had insurance so the homeowner can be compensated for their fence, which was pretty much completely destroyed.  However, they were lucky Maldonado didn't slam into their home!
