Two young men are in the Benton County jail on suspicion of burglary of a Kennewick business, and possibly others.

Wednesday morning, an employee of Stratton Surveying was on his way to work when he noticed the two suspects walking through a field near the business location at 7525 West Deschutes around 6:20 a.m.

The company had been broken into the day before, and the employee thought it was strange to see the two walking away through the field next to the facility.    The worker kept them under surveillance, and called 911.  Kennewick police arrived, and subsequently arrested 23-year-old Cameron E. Campbell of Richland, and 21-year-old Calvin Fox of Kennewick.

Police found two backpacks that the men had hidden in the bushes full of tools taken from the business.  Although they refused to answer questions to officers, a Kennewick detective was able to identify both as suspects in the break-in. They are currently on a 72-hour investigative hold.   They've been identified as potential suspects in other incidents in the area.
