If you're a fan of snow, like us, you will be disappointed.

According to a report issued by the National Weather Service this week, the chance of a warmer, wetter winter than normal is likely to happen. In fact, the report says it's about a 90% chance.  It will likely be a repeat of last season.

According to weather experts from the NWS and KING-5 TV,  we won't get less precipitation, but it won't be in the form of snow.

During the Meet in The Middle Show Thursday on Newstalk870, this subject was also discussed.  Weather models and patterns are predicting the same amount of precipitation, especially in the mountains, but it won't fall as much-needed snowpack.

Another mild winter could spell serious issues for Cascade and Northwest Ski Resorts, who suffered one of their worst winters on record. But beyond that, the intensity of the rainfall is expected to increase.

The precipitation will likely occur in heavier rainfall in shorter periods of time, which can trigger mud and landslides, much like the tragic one that occurred near Oso, WA.
