A second car was stolen in Pasco this week when the car was left running and unattended. The car was at the N 4th Economart this morning at around 5:45 am. The owner apparently went in the the Economart and the push-start engine didn't stop running because it hadn't been turned off. The car was taken and Pasco Police are still in pursuit of the car and suspect. Take a look at the photo below and see if maybe you've seen it. The car has a Washington License plateBCE0005.

This is a scary thing for push-start car owners, because the car will keep running without the fob in the car, so if the car is left running, thieves can take the car as far as the gas tank will let them. Protip: make sure your car is either off and/or locked even if you're only getting out for a minute. It doesn't take thieves long to spot your vehicle, hop in, and drive off.

If you recognize the male, please call Pasco Police at (509)545-3421. If you see the car, immediately dial 911 and report it to the police agency at that location. Case PP17-15620 Vehicle Theft.
