An approaching series of storms is forecast to bring dangerous amounts of rain to the Washington coast by Sunday. Some places could get as much as 6-9 inches of rain, especially in the mountains. There predicting as much as 4 inches for areas around Seattle not in the mountains according to news reports. Luckily the levels for most of the local rivers are low and should be able to handle the extra water. Some areas might have trouble with water and storm drains

Wind gusts could bring 30-50 mph winds which are expected to cause lots of power outages. Most of the trees still have there leaves, and with the ground being so wet, the trees will act like sails. Branches will break off and whole trees will blow over tearing down power lines causing the outages.
