An attempted carjacking just days earlier led to the suspect being spotted at a Spokane Walmart and then shot & killed by police as he tried to get away. Spokane police had been investigating an armed carjacking from Monday and then found the stolen car at a Walmart on Wednesday according to news reports. They set up surveillance to watch the car and saw multiple people come in and out of the car. When it tried to drive away, police moved in and blocked it from leaving.

Police told the people to exit the car, the passenger left but the armed driver did not surrender and was then shot by two officers and killed. The man has yet to be identified and the case is under investigation by the Spokane Sheriffs Office.
