Armed Dangerous Suspect Still Being Sought in Kennewick

After searching Zintel Canyon Monday afternoon, US Marshalls, Kennewick and Richland police report they are still seeking Jesus Salas-Rubio.

He's wanted on a Department of Corrections warrant and also wanted for assault.  Armed police and searchers swarmed all over the canyon, but could not locate him.

He's described as being armed and dangerous, anyone who sees him is urged to call (509)-628-0333.  Obviously, if you do see him, do not attempt to make contact.

During the Zintel Canyon search, police advised residents in the immediate area to lock their doors and windows as a precaution.  Police had been searching an area near Yelm Street for the second Fred Meyer arson suspect, when apparently this guy popped up and was seen fleeing the scene. That led to the pursuit and search.
