Police are searching for the suspect who made off with an i-Pad Air Monday evening.

Sgt. Ken Lattin said around 8:30pm Monday evening, a suspect entered the T-Mobile Store In the Mall and grabbed a demo i-Pad Air.   Lattin said the suspect had somehow "compromised" the security cable securing the i-Pad to the display stand.

A store employee chased the man out of the store into the mall, but backed off when the suspect turned around and displayed a pistol. The employee continued to follow at a distance and saw  the suspect jump into a 1990's maroon-colored Chevy Suburban with silver molding running the lower length of the vehicle, and sped off towards CostCo.  No one was injured in the altercation.  The situation could have been potentially dangerous as the suspect displayed gun while still inside the mall filled with numerous shoppers.

The suspect is described as a white male, 20's to 30's wearing a black baseball cap, black sweats and zip-up sweatshirt.  He had a white t shirt underneath, both the pants and jacket had a red stripe.

Anyone with information is immediately asked to contact Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers at (509)-586-TIPS.
