Andrew Kirk has been a journalist for nine years. Although originally from the Tri-Cities, he has lived in Utah for the past 17 years and is a graduate of the University of Utah. He is married with children and currently lives in Richland. He is an amateur historian and used to teach Mandarin Chinese to middle school students in Park City, Utah. For fun he watches movies, visits parks with his kids and occasionally rides a bicycle.

Should Owed Wages Be Part of Fights Over Budget Cuts?

According to the Associated Press, a company called Inclusion Inc. is suing the Idaho state government for underpayment for services given to the developmentally disabled. For those of you not following this story, the state of Idaho is trying to balance its budget and some Republicans have rejected a budget that pays for these services. That means the company can't be paid for services already rendered.

Kennewick to Hold 9/11 Remembrance at Word Trade Center Memorial on Sept. 11, 2012

The City of Kennewick will hold a short ceremony on Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at the 9/11 World Trade Center Memorial at the Southridge Sports & Events Complex at 2901 Southridge Blvd., Kennewick. It will begin at 6 p.m. and only last about 20 minutes. The public is encouraged to attend.
