Police think a door-to-door solicitor was casing a Richland neighborhood last Friday night. 27-year-old Pasco resident Juan Vela was going door to door on the 1600 block of Davison Street asking for car assistance.

Residents soon became suspicious and called the police, who interviewed Vela and asked if he was armed. Vela then revealed two sets of brass knuckles.

They ran a check on him and found two warrants for his arrest. Police then took Vela into custody where Meth was discovered in his jacket pockets. Vela was later booked at the Benton County jail.
