Joe Biden never ceases to amaze us — and provide lots of funny material. The VP who once told a wheelchair-bound man to “stand up and take a bow” at a political rally now apparently thinks we still make cars with a time machine. Biden was speaking at a political rally in Virginia and asked the question, “Where is it written we cannot lead the world in the 20th century in making automobiles?”

The Romney Campaign had this response:

Ryan Williams, a spokesman for the Romney campaign, responds: “Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan will ensure America leads the world in the 21st century by strengthening middle-class families and creating jobs.

Biden, clear back several decades, has provided dozens of verbal blunders that have been funny but also incredibly insensitive. Just a few days ago, while addressing black voters at a rally, Biden said Romney’s (and the GOP) policies threatened to “put y’all back in chains!”
