According to the folks who cover local and regional high school sports, the Columbia Basin Big 9 is likely to break up.

Check out the Blitz from Washington Sports Network on Newstalk 870.  Saturday, their guests included Joe Oertell, long time sports writer, broadcaster and expert from Walla Walla.  Oertell predicts the Big 9 could likely break up over the Wenatchee, Yakima, and possibly Moses Lake schools breaking away and forming their own league; largely over travel and expense issues.   The Blitz is streamed live on Washington Sports Network’s website as the show happens on Newstalk 870.  Check out Saturday’s Show here for the details.
