No less than 11 different law enforcement agencies, including ICE (Immigrations and Customs Enforcement and US Marshalls!)  made more than 25 arrests in a huge gang sweep of the Tri-Cities.

Kennewick police chief Ken Hohenberg announced Friday the sweep, the 7th such event since 2009, netted 25 arrests of known wanted gang members who had warrants on a variety of charges.  8 search warrants were served in Kennewick and Pasco during the operation.   According to officials these sweeps take nearly a month to put together, but the result is that in just a matter of hours, large groups of potentially dangerous individuals are placed behind bars.    And estimated 26-30 officers were directly involved in the sweep.
