Early Wednesday morning Kennewick police were able to apprehend a pretty bold auto theft suspect.

Around 1:25am police got a 911 call about a car theft. Upon arrival near the 1100 block of West 10th, an officer noticed the stolen car headed East.

He quickly pulled it over, and found three people inside. Tariq Al Shamary was the suspect who was responsible for the actual theft. Turns out he had entered the victim's apartment, took the keys then drove off.  He's facing auto theft charges. Another suspect in the car, Bariq Al Shahary, was busted for an outstanding warrant and violation of a no-contact order for a previous incident.

We're thinking these guys knew the victim, which might have made their entry to the apartment and theft a little easier.
