When your sprinkler line or even irrigation pipe breaks, it's a mess in your yard.  Imagine a large underground water line!

Detroit police earlier Wednesday had to re-route traffic to avoid a rapidly growing lake that bubbled up from under the ground after a major water line ruptured.  Residents of Shelby Township near Detroit had to boil water and avoid numerous city blocks after the 36 inch line ruptured.  Residents reported water shooting 10 feet above the ground.  Once city crews are able to "de-water" the area, they will then be able to assess the damage.

See the remarkable footage as the line breaks, and water begins to roar from the ground.
