The Department of Natural Resources has extended the burn ban in effect on state run lands to cover the entire state, indefinitely.

The DNR says due to drier than expected conditions and high heat, no burning of any kind will be allowed on lands protected by the Department. This does NOT apply to federally managed lands or national parks.

If you're planning on camping this summer, or other outdoor recreation, make sure you check the area your visiting to determine if it's managed by DNR. If so, then no campfires or burning.
