A "flying" overfield camera came crashing to the ground during the Insight Bowl, just missing an Iowa player.

The 25 lb plus camera, suspended on cables high over the field, is a common sight at stadiums, whizzing up and down the field.  They provide unobstructed and often great camera angles-when the cables don't break!   Iowa wide reciever Martin McNutt Jr. looked up and saw the camera tumbling downward. He was able to avoid it, but became tangled in the broken cables. ESPN apologized for the mishap.  This isn't the first time one of the overhead flying cameras had become earthbound.  Considering they speed along at speeds up to 30 miles an hour, it's a wonder more have not taken flight!
