April 22, 2013 Last week, the Port of Kennewick voted to close down Vista Field and sell the land to potential developers. The facility had been losing thousands of dollars each year over the last decade. Now that the official decision has been made, commissioners will be meeting to finalize plans Tuesday, April 23 at 2 p.m. at the Commission Chambers, 350 Clover Island in Kennewick.

Richland parents don't want their kids going to Chief Joseph Middle School because that's where the poor kids and minorities are. The school has a stigma. According to the story in the Tri-City Herald, the school district has hired great staff at the school. The only difference is the student body.
