Kennewick Man Drifted Off 240 Smashing into Trees at Columbia Park Golf Course

Thursday morning at about 10 a.m. a 40-year-old Kennewick man drifted off west-bound 240 in Kennewick into Columbia Park Golf Course. He struck a stump, which spun his 2002 Subaru and slammed his door against a tree. According to Washington State Trooper Brian Mihelich, it took 35-40 minutes for fire crews to remove him from the the car. The roof was removed and thrown behind the vehicle. He is at a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The stump he hit was ripped out of the ground and thrown several feet away. The airbag deployed.
