A Pasco Hispanic community leader is asking for a federal investigation into the fatal shooting of Antonio Zambrano-Montes saying the investigation by the Special Investigations Unit will have "no credibility whatsoever."
Friday afternoon Tri-Cities police officials investigating the fatal shooting of 35-year-old Antonio Zambrano-Montes gave a media briefing. Nearly 40 people have come forward saying they witnessed the incident.
Pasco police have identified the man three officers shot Tuesday evening after he threw rocks at them and nearby vehicles as 35-year-old transient Antonio Zambrano-Montes. After video footage of the shooting spread on social media, several dozen protesters stood peacefully outside Pasco City Hall Wednesday.
