Thanks to the watchful eyes of a local resident,  two suspects are in the Benton County jail.

Shortly after 1am Monday,  Kennewick police were alerted to a report of suspicious vehicle in West Kennewick.   Officers responded to 4711 West Metaline Ave, after a resident called to report a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Kamiakin Apartments.

Police located what turned out to be a stolen Nissan Altima  which had been reported taken back on August 7th.

27-year-old Richard Vasquez and 23-year-old Candida Suarez were arrested, Vazquez for 1st. degree stolen property, and Suarez on outstanding warrants, false reporting, and giving a fake name to an officer.

The vehicle was seized as evidence and is in the police impound pending a search warrant.
