The bathrooms and water facilities at this popular park are out of commission after vandals destroyed sinks, toilets and even glass block windows.

After several park visitors noticed glass fragments scattered near the bathrooms over the weekend, they took a look inside. They, and city officials, found that vandals had smashed the porcelain toilets, sinks, and the water fixtures. The park is a popular destination for people from all over the area, and located just south of Meadow Springs.

Officials said, according to KEPR-TV, that even the glass blocks in the upper walls that let in daylight (instead of windows) were also smashed.

It is not known how long the bathroom and water will be unavailable, but officials did say it's like the glass blocks will be replaced by cinder blocks, to prevent this from happening again.

The park, say neighbors, is considered very safe, and not known for such acts of vandalism, which is why this was a surprise. No price tag has been released by the city for what the repairs will cost. The park does remain open, however, despite not having any bathrooms, water, or drinking fountains.
