Two years after losing a hotly contested and close race to Rep. Dan Newhouse, Clint Didier is giving it another run.

The former NFL Super Bowl Champion with the Washington Redskins, and Mesa farmer, challenged Newhouse in 2014 for the 4th Congressional seat vacated by the retiring Doc Hastings in the House of Representatives.

Didier, a staunch conservative, waged a tough campaign, and it marked the first time in recent memory that two GOP candidates were vying for the same spot.

Didier filed this week, the filing period ends May 20th.  The two winners of the August primary will advance to the November general election.
