Columbia Center Boulevard Delays Expected, Traffic Light Struck By Motorist

An early Monday morning accident will cause traffic delays at Canal and Columbia Center Boulevard, because a major traffic control system was wiped out by a car.

A car struck and destroyed the large master control box at the intersection, they're the large silver compartments you see on some street corners.  The box was completely torn off it's foundation and wrecked.

Until likely Tuesday or possibly Wednesday, CC Boulevard and Canal is a four-way stop, with temporary stop signs posted in the area.
