Columbia Park Hit and Run Claims Life of Tree, Cops Looking for Semi-Truck

Kennewick police are looking for probably the slowest hit-and-run vehicle in recent months, a semi truck.

Thursday, they got reports from a witness of a semi that jumped a curb near the Lampson Pits in Columbia Park, and took out this tree.

The truck then 'fled' the area, although that might not have been the right word to use. No confirmation, but the tree was pronounced dead at the scene.

Seriously though, anyone with any information is asked to call (509)-628-0333, as the tree will have to be replaced, and obviously when somebody destroys public property they are responsible.
