Rider Killed in Columbia Park Crash Identified [UPDATE]

Just before 10pm, Kennewick police received reports from other drivers about a motorcycle crash near the Flagpole and Veterans Memorial, located near the roundabout. UPDATE BELOW.

At 9:55 police said other drivers reported the crash, and found the male rider lying on the ground unresponsive, his bike was on the grass nearby. Emergency crews responded, but the man apparently died at the scene from his injuries.

No other information was released, nor has the identity of the rider. Police did not say if speed or other issues were related to the crash, the investigation continues.

UPDATE--Rider identified at 40-year-old Ian Williams of Kennewick.
