Crash Kills Richland Man Monday Morning

A 29-year-old Richland man died early Monday, apparently after he failed to stop at a stop sign and hit another vehicle just before 5am.

Authorities say Kevin L. Wheeler was Southbound on Robertson Drive headed towards Highway 240 when he ran through the stop sign at the intersection.

He collided with a car driven by 60-year-old Kenneth Williams of Pasco. Wheeler, driving a 2002 Taurus, died in the wreck, he was wearing his seatbelt.  Williams was not injured in the crash.

Authorities say they don't yet know if drugs or alcohol contributed to the accident.
