It's still not the "norm" in our area, but such digital crimes are becoming more common. This guy is facing significant charges.

A Burbank man is going to court over allegations he 'digitally' threatened his former girlfriend.

James Bateman, according to Benton County officials, sent more thana 150 threatening text messages to the woman, including a picture of a gun. For that, he's facing cyberstalking charges. He also allegedly threatened to post a compromising video of the woman on the internet if she refused to break up with her current boyfriend.

She met with authorities in July and showed them the threats Bateman made to her and her current boyfriend.  Bateman was released on $10,000 bail, his trial scheduled for November 18th.
