An 18-year-old man was injured after colliding with a car on his bicycle in Kennewick Thursday afternoon.

According to Emergency Response workers and Kennewick police, Ryan Fox was riding his bike with a friend along Clearwater near the intersection by Round Table Pizza, when he was struck by a car driven by Tori Loucks of Pasco.

Police said Fox and the other rider were riding against traffic on the North side of the street, when Fox was struck by the car. It was attempting to pull out onto Clearwater Westbound. The driver, according to sources, was looking the other direction and didn't see Fox when she turned right, striking him.

Fox was not wearing a helmet, and was taken to the the ER at Trios Southridge Hospital for an evaluation.  Authorities didn't say if any citations were issued.
