The smoky conditions in the Yakima Valley have taken their toll again on this week’s high school football schedule.

1460 ESPN Yakima’s ‘Game of the Week’ – originally slated for tonight – has been cancelled as La Salle athletic Director Don Erickson has confirmed that tonight’s match-up at La Salle against East Valley has been cancelled and will not be made-up.

A.C. Davis High School AD Bob Stanley has also issued the following statement regarding the Pirates’ game against Pasco:
“Due to air quality, our varsity contest with Pasco has been moved to Edgar Brown Stadium on Saturday with a 1 pm start.
(The) Pasco AD and myself will talk at 8 am Saturday morning re: Tri-Cities air quality. Our bus departs at 9 am”.

You can hear that game live on AM-1460 ESPN Yakima, on our live stream at 1460ESPNYakima.com or on your mobile device via our free Radio Pup app.
