Did You Think Oh Boy! Oberto Was Winning Sunday?
Jimmy Shane for Graham Trucking won an EXTREMELY close race against Miss Beacon Plumbing at Sunday’s final for the Columbia Cup. According to a quote in the Tri-City Herald, it was one of the closest finishes in the history of hydroplane racing. Unfortunately, most fans were not on the edge of their seats for the suspenseful finish because they thought Oh Boy! Oberto won by a large margin. This is because the boat broke a rule, and was forced to do another lap. Even the racers were unaware the white, red and green boat was out of the running until the final lap! What an exciting finish for an incredible weekend!
