Dine and Dash Suspect Busted for Drugs

A suspect who allegedly ate at a local eatery then left without paying was also found to have interesting items in his pocket Thursday night.

Police were called to the 5600 block of West Clearwater after Brent Votendahl had reportedly eaten some food, then left without paying.

After police quickly found him nearby, he was questioned and searched with poolice having probable cause. Police said they found a package of smoking devices with traces of what appeared to be meth inside his pockets.

He's in the jail and the items will be tested at the state crime lab.
