A 20-year-old man from Toppenish who went missing in 2016 has finally been identified as the body found last year near White Swan.

Authorities say Neal Cloud was found September 18th 2017 in Medicine Valley, about two miles from White Swan.

FBI and other officials said Tuesday DNA testing concluded his identity, when the body was discovered, it had been there for at least 3-4 months, and was too badly decomposed for most ID procedures. The FBI handled much of the investigation because the crime or incident occurred or was discovered on Tribal Lands.

According to the Yakima Herald, a man named Donovan Culps, who is charged with killing a Cheney pot store worker, also told authorities he'd stabbed another man on the Yakama Reservation in 2016 in a revenge killing. Officials have not concluded if the stabbing victim was indeed Cloud.
