Do We Need A Manhattan Project National Monument Park? [POLL]

Hanford Nuclear B Reactor

A bill introduced in Congress would create a Manhattan Project National Park and would include Hanford’s B reactor.

Senators Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell co-sponsored the bill that would include the historic B reactor at Hanford that produced the plutonium for the atomic bomb dropped on Nagasaki, Japan,  as well as much of the White Bluffs leveled to make room for Hanford. It would also include areas of Oak Ridge, Tenn. and New Mexico where other significant nuclear advancements were made. What are your thoughts? Should this be prioritized as part of our national history? Take our poll.
