Doing what comes naturally to dogs can now land them in the Animal Control Shelter.  Police in LA can now "arrest" or apprehend dogs....for chasing people.

The LA Board Of Supervisors yesterday ruled that police can now determine on the spot if a dog is considered vicious, a decision that could result in the animal being euthanized.   The classification for a dangerous dog has now been modified to include simply chasing a person.  Previously, there had to be some sort of attack, bite or other gesture involving contact between the animal and a person.  Now, a dog could be considered a candidate for being put down simply by chasing someone.  Maybe consider it twice before offering that doggie a treat: careful, it might run at you.
