Fortunately, the unnamed driver was NOT injured!

The Franklin County Sheriff's office shared this story today about a woman who was apparently talking or interacting on her phone, and literally drove into a pond. Where it was located was not released by the Sheriff's department, but according to unconfirmed social media posts, the woman allegedly attempted to at first tell officials something had caused her to swerve off the road.

But a lack of tire marks and evidence at the scene, plus other information, led officials to say she was not paying attention, took eyes off the road while using phone, and drove into the pond.

Yet another reason why NOT to use the phone while your behind the wheel.  We're pretty sure the car will be totaled, given the depth of water and amount of time it was immersed.

One person who commented on Facebook said it was a test to see if the new i-Phone 7 was water resistant...
