Tuesday evening, around 8:51pm, Kennewick police responded to a vehicle vs. motorcycle accident at the intersection of South Union and 15th streets.

The car driver was turning south onto Union, and didn't see the motorcycle rider. They were struck, and thrown from the bike. Fortunately, the rider was not seriously hurt. They were wearing safety gear and declined treatment.

The car driver was cited for failure to yield, and it's likely judging from the picture, that sunset and dusk conditions contributed to the poor visibility.
