A report issued by the Environmental Protection Agency claims radioactive dust blown in a November, 2015 windstorm is "alarming" to the agency.

Last November 17th, a windstorm pushed small amounts of low-level radioactive dust out of a containment area, and some of it ended up on or around Route 4. That's the public access road from Richland out to the Wye Barricade entrance to the nuclear complex.

Tests have shown no levels of contamination to the area, and there's no public health issues, according to a series of Department of Energy Tests.

However, the EPA says the issue merits further discussion. They have given the DOE until April to prepare what it calls a report on loss of control of radioactive material.
