Nearly 120 earthquakes happened around Mount St. Helens recently. A scientist who studies the mountain says the tremors are evidence the mountain is on a path toward (eventual) eruption.

These small earthquakes are nothing particularly alarming as of now, but it's a reminder that we are getting closer to an inevitable eruption.

I don't know if THEY even know if it would be equally devastating, or smaller now that the mountain's cap is missing. Maybe it'd only be a puff (cross your fingers).
