President Obama deflected fallout from the bankruptcy of Solyndra (his pet green energy company) at an appearance March 22nd, while touting his approval of 'half' of the Keystone Pipeline.

When pressed about Solyndra by American Public Media about Solyndra, Obama denied that it was on his watch.  He claimed the program the cleared the 535 million dollar loan to the banktupt solar panel company pre-dated his administration.   FactCheck.org  did a followup on this and found that the program that approved the loan came from the 2009 Stimulus Plan.  He also argued the Chinese are flooding the solar panel market world-wide with cheaper (and inferior) inventory, making it hard for companies like Solyndra to compete--he did not address the subsidies green companies have been getting from the Feds.
