the FBI continues to investigate a bomb found in an abandoned backpack that was discovered on a park bench Monday in Spokane.

Spokane FBI Field Office Lead Frank Harell would not elaborate about what made the bomb capable of inflicting "multiple casualties," but confirmed it could have done so had it detonated.  The bomb, inside a backpack, was sitting on a park bench and discovered just before 9:30am at the corner of North Washington Street and West Main--a crowded downtown area in Spokane even without the Martin Luther King Parade. A reward of $20,000 has been offered leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for planting the bomb.
