Fiery Crash Kills Driver Near Ritzville – Was Driving “Wrong-way” (VIDEO)

Washington State Patrol troopers are not sure what prompted a woman to drive eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-90 near Ritzville.

The as-yet unidentified female died in the fiery crash after she collided headon with a GMC Envoy.  The woman's Toyota was destroyed in the collision, which triggered a fire.   Two occupants in the GMC were taken to Spokane to Sacred Heart Medical Center by helicopter, their condition was not known.   Due to the fire, the Adams County Corononer has not yet been able to identify the victim, further testing will be required.  WSP does not know if alcohol played a factor in the crash.  KREM 2 television covered the crash with this video, including remarkable footage of the Toyota engulfed in flames.
