The extent of the fire and damage is not yet known, but around 9am residents near Eltopia and West Glade roads North of Pasco were asked to leave the area due to excessive smoke.

The McGregor plant reported a fire at their fertilizer facility, and the smoke was said to be harmful, especially to those who have respiratory issues. It was due to the chemicals in the fertilizer that were burning.

A variety of nearby evacuations took place, officials have not said when people can return to their homes. More information is expected soon.
